Katja Erfurth

(Katy through the looking glass)
Dance theatre – based on Lewis Carroll´s „Alice through the looking glass“

german version

Choreography and dance: Katja Erfurth
Projections: Claudia Reh
Composition and Violin: Florian Mayer

On the traces of little Alice (by Lewis Carroll) Katy makes her way into the surreal world behind the mirrors. Together with her doll Katy dancer Katja Erfurth meets those magic figures; she fills them with life by changing them and gets into fantastic situations. The boundaries between reality and dream melt into one another; episodes and symbols arise: with the Hatter and the egg Humpty Dumpty, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the unicorn and the White King, flowers and mythical creatures. Claudia Reh (artist working with light and overhead projectors) creates the changing actions of light for Katy’s dream journey.
With his preference for unusual playing Violinist Florian Mayer manages a remarkable virtuous and varied musical sound level.
For little, grown up and would-be children!
